No accounts, no tracking, no workspace data on our servers. Your specimens and images stay on your device.
1. Controller

2. What stays on your device
Specimens, measurements, photographs, CT stacks, cases, EUDR shipments, guide preferences, theme choice and the encrypted vault are stored in your browser’s local storage or memory. We never receive them. You can delete them at any time by clearing site data.
3. What we or our processors do process
- Hosting logs: IP address, time, requested URL and browser type, kept by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention for a short period (legitimate interest, GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
- Repository proxy: when you search DCCD/DANS, your search terms and, if you supply one, your access token are forwarded to DANS and the response returned. We do not store them.
- Direct requests from your browser to NOAA (ITRDB) and Google Fonts reveal your IP address to those providers under their own privacy policies.
4. What we do not do
No user accounts, no advertising, no analytics cookies, no profiling and no sale of data. The Service sets no cookies of its own.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of personal data we hold, and to complain to your data protection authority (in the Netherlands: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). Because workspace data never reaches us, requests normally concern hosting logs only.
